WAN Acceleration

WAN acceleration in Veastro Cloud is designed to enhance data transfer efficiency by minimizing the amount of data that needs to be sent across the network. This is achieved through advanced techniques like data deduplication and compression. Deduplication ensures that only unique data blocks are transferred, eliminating redundant data, while compression reduces the size of the data before transmission. Additionally, WAN acceleration uses intelligent caching and data streamlining to further optimize the transfer process, reducing latency and improving speed. As a result, even large backup jobs can be completed faster and with less impact on your network bandwidth, making it a crucial feature for businesses with remote sites or limited connectivity. WAN Acceleration is best used when the upload bandwidth of your Veeam Backup and Replication is not enough to ensure backups being uploaded in a timely manner (for example: below 20 mbits).

Veastro Cloud offers advanced WAN acceleration functionality to optimize data transfer speeds between your on-premises infrastructure and our cloud environment. This feature significantly reduces the time and bandwidth required for transferring large backup files, making it ideal for clients with limited network capacity or those handling large volumes of data. WAN acceleration works by compressing and deduplicating data before it's sent over the network, ensuring faster, more efficient transfers. To enable this powerful feature, clients can easily contact our support team, who will assist in configuring and optimizing WAN acceleration to meet your specific needs.
